The end of a super season for the Under-16’s

After exiting both cups late in the season, the Carrigtwohill United Under-16’s ended their league campaign on a high with two away victories. Goals from Adam Rooney (3) and Niall Harte (2) gave the lads a comfortable win against Midleton B in Knockgriffin and goals by David Joseph (3), Adam Rooney and Mark Durango the points in Ballea against Carrigaline B.

These results saw the lads win 10 of their 14 league games and finish a very respectable 4th place in the final standings. Over the course of the season they scored 66 goals in all competitions, shared amongst 10 different players. Very impressive stats it must be said!

From a coaching perspective the commitment and dedication shown by all players (and parents) across the last nine months must be commended, from murky Tuesday and Thursday nights in Ballyadam to early Saturday morning away games the attitude has been fantastic. We have watched these young men develop and progress over the course of the season and hope they have enjoyed the journey as much as we have. They should be very proud of themselves because we certainly are!

Well done to all.
