On Sunday we welcomed Greenwood to Ballyadam Park. It was a good for a football game and both teams delivered an exciting game which ended 1-1. Both teams had good chances in the opening half but Greenwood struck first after 28 minutes. Carrigtwohill pushed for the equaliser before the break but it was not to be.
The second half was as good as the first with both teams giving it their all. Carrigtwohill did get the equaliser on the hour mark. Sean O Sullivan got the end of a well taken corner by Andrew McMahon and powered in his header from 10 yards out. The last half hour saw both teams pushing for the winner but it was not to be. A draw was a fair result and it keeps Carrigtwohill in pole position at the top of the table with three games to play.
