League v Coachford in Glebe Park on Sunday 6th September 2015
Coachford 1 Carrigtwohill United 0

We traveled to Coachford on Sunday afternoon for our second game of the league. Both sides were evenly matched in the early exchanges and while Carrig played the better football Coachford fought for every ball and made things difficult for the visitors. Carrig had 3 great chances but a combination of good defending and good goalkeeping kept them out . For all their good work the lads couldn’t score and it was Coachford who had the ball in the net first and had a goal disallowed and the half finished o – o.

Carrig had a good start to the second half and should have been ahead but Coachford’s kept them out and when they did score it was ruled out out by the referee. Carrig had Coachford defending for their lives for most of the game but somehow they managed to win the match with a goal in the last 5 minutes of match. This was one that got away.

Ballyseedy Home & Gardens Player of the Match : Billy Manning.
