On Sunday afternoon , we welcomed Avondale to Ballyadam Park. Avondale started the better and we’re rewarded with 2 goals in the opening 25 minutes. Carrigtwohill started to come into the game and pulled one back before half time when Tom O Brien got on the end of an excellent free kick from Conor O’ Mahony.
Carrig scored 2 goals within 3 minutes of the restart to take the lead. Conor Harte finished well after good work by Andrew McMahon on the right. Cormac Horgan got on the scoresheet with a fine solo effort. Carrig dominated the next twenty minutes before Avondale were awarded a penalty which they converted. O’Brien scored his second of the game from a well taken corner by Murphy giving Carrig a hard earned three points. Carrig remain top of the table with 6 wins from 6 in the league.
