Rockmount Under-16’s travelled to Ballyadam for this weekend’s league fixture.

Evan O Regan O Connor duly converted the penalty. 1-0 to Carrig.
Carrigtwohill doubled their lead when they were awarded a second penalty as Rayhan Soumaila was fouled in the penalty area. Evan O Regan O Connor cooly slotted home his second penalty kick of the day. 2-0 to Carrig.
Jarlaith Cullimore somehow pulled off a spectacular double save double stage at a crucial part of the game to deny Rockmount a goal which would have brought them right back into the game.
Carrigtwohill’s third goal came after Rayhan Soumaila attacked the Rockmount defence, passed to Roan O’Keefe who played a through ball to Noah Nsengiyumva who slotted the ball home to the net. 3-0 to Carrig.
Carrigtwohill’s fourth goal came when Sean og Madden Madden won the ball in the Carrigtwohill half of the field, attacked the space with intent, spotted a runner out on the wing and hit a sweet 25-yard pass onto Roan O’Keefe who took a touch and placed the ball into the goal. 4-0 to Carrig.
Kyle Kidney was unlucky not to get on the score sheet when he shot from a marauding run just went wide. As usual Kyle worked his socks off all day long and kept running throught the game in the heat.
Rian Thornhill & Noah Nsengiyumva had the ball in Rockmount net but unfortunately both goals were harshly adjudged to being offside.
A valuable 3 point secured by Carrigtwohill United Under-16’s and more importantly a great bounce & performance from the entire squad.
Notable mention to Evan O Regan O Connor with the conversation of the two penalties.
