Carrig crashed out of the Dennehy’s Cup in the first round today. In what was our first competitive defeat this season. Not too many positives to take out of this one. Carrig never got going and even though they had the better of the first half chances, went in 1 down at the break. Second half was more of the same as we failed to pass the ball well enough to feed James Mulcahy up front who led the team by example with his attitude. We conceded 3 second half goals all of which were defended poorly. Our consolation was a David Rooney penalty. A day to forget for Carrig.
