Under-14 CSL Div 1 at Bandon

Bandon – 2

Carrigtwohill United – 0

Carrigtwohill United Under-14’s suffered a disappointing defeat away to Bandon last Sunday morning which now almost extinguishes any hopes of promotion.

After starting well the visitors dominated play in the first half and created a few openings although they never really troubled the Bandon keeper. Team shape and movement was good as Carrigtwohill got into a nice passing/possession rhythm and surely thought that the goals would come.

But a lack lustre and disjointed second half performance from United left Bandon in for 2 goals to take all 3 points in what was only their 2nd league win of the season!

On a positive note Noah Nsengiyumva (pictured below) put in a ‘man of the match’ performance at centre back. Noah has been a revelation this season and has been a credible operator in a number of defensive positions over the past few months, definitely a candidate for most improved player this year. Well done Noah.
