A Sunday lunchtime kickoff, saw Carrigtwohill United Under-12’s host Mayfield United in their league division 1 clash at Ballyadam Park.
The visitors started well threatening from both flanks with speedy wing play and took the lead on 10 minutes. Carrigtwohill settled into the game from the re-start and would go on to dominate the remainder of the half without drawing level.
The second half was again all about the home side but they wouldn’t find an equaliser until the 55th minute when some neat play between Osas and Evan created an opening for Cillian Rooney who made no mistake to rifle the ball home from close range. Chances fell to Rian, Noah and Kyle in the final minutes but the winner would elude the home side and Carrigtwohill would have to settle for a point. Well done to all involved.
