In their first game of the new season, the Under-11’s travelled to Kilcully for an early evening kick off against St Marys. It was brilliant that so many of were able to attend the fixture and great credit goes to their parents for making the effort needed to get through traffic to make the 6.30pm KO.
With 3 simultaneous small sided games being played out, all players got an opportunity to play 3 games on a “fresh” September evening.
Even though this was the first game of the season, it was great to see the effort and skill on show by the kids on both sides. The development of these players, even over the past year alone, was clear for all to see, with great passing play out from the back, positive build up play in midfield and some very good attacking up front.
They continue to work hard at training to further develop their skills
