Our first league of the season away to Village in Mayfield. This was a game that didnt go to plan and two mistakes early in each half were our undoing. Both came from long balls when we were the team doing the pressing and were not dealt with leading to two soft goals conceded
A well cut but hilly pitch didn’t help the game as it became stop start. This suited Village Utd more than us. We created better chances with Martin Carroll and Mick O’Sullivan having great chances to score in first half. Despite playing better in second half we again missed a clear cut opportunity when ‘Carlos’ should have hit the target when put in a good position. All in all a disappointing day but with players to come back we will hope to get better results in the coming weeks.
