League v Glen Cletic in Ballyadam Park on Sunday 26th October 2014
Carrigtwohill United B 3 Glen Cletic 0
Carrig Scorers: OG, Jason Walsh, Paul Feehan

Carrigtwohill came away with a hard won 3 points at home to Glen Celtic on Sunday morning. Playing with a strong wind at their backs, Carrig started well and got into their passing rhythm early. They got their reward after 12 mins when an excellent inswinging corner from Tom O’Shea flicked off the Glen defender’s head into his own net. It was 2-0 10 mins later when Jason Walsh picked up the ball outside the penalty area and went past 3 defenders before slotting it past the keeper. Carrig continued to press but could not find the net again before half time with Tom O’Shea having the best chance when his close-range shot was blocked on the line.

Glen Celtic started the 2nd half very well with the wind at their backs and almost got back in the game 10mins in when their centre forward got on the end of a long ball that went over the heads of the defenders but Mugus made a great save. Glen continued to press but the Carrig defense and Ian Kenny and Richie Mannix in particular stayed strong and defended excellently. Carrig began to get control of the game again with their excellent passing and got the 3rd on 70 mins when they got a free kick at the edge of the box and Paul Feehan calmly placed the ball over the wall and into the top corner. Carrig continued to defend well while still creating chances and closed the game out to win 3-0.
