League v Lakewood Athletic in Carrigtwohill All-Weather on Sunday 8th April 2018
On Sunday 8/4/2018, our u9s played their first ever Cork Schoolboys League non-competitive games. Due to all the recent wet weather and the resulting pitch conditions at Ballyadam, the games were moved to the all weather facility in Carrigtwohill.
The u9s played 2 evenly contested small sided games, with Lakewood proving to be a very good sporting test for our gang. The development that we have been witnessing in this u9 squad during training over the past few months, as well as during previous friendly games, was clearly evident and everyone was very impressed with the levels of skill, attitude and determination shown by all our players.
A big thanks to our opponents on the day. who’s like minded approach to u9 SSGs really made this a brilliant experience for all the players involved.
The CSL games ahead will really benefit this squad and their football development. Well done all and keep up the good work!
