Carrigtwohill travelled away to face Churchvilla for their second last game of the season. The game was balanced from the get go, with Churchvilla looking dangerous on the counter attack.
The pitch was sloped and rock hard with uncut grass so passing football was going to be a challenge.
Carrigtwohill had better chances in first half through Daniel MC and Adam.
With a minute to go before the break, they got a chance from a ball over the top to the feet of Daniel MC who just got there before the oncoming keeper to slot it home.
Carrigtwohill went into Halftime leading 1-0
The second half was a spectacular performance from the lads, defensively sound, with our midfield keeping the opposing threat at bay.
Daniel MC scored another two to give him a much deserved hat trick. As the minutes went on Churchvilla got frustrated having a few chances they couldn’t convert. Carrigtwohill have been looking for more goalscorers lately and up stepped Kevin Jones with his own hat trick, one of which was a superb free kick, which brings his tally into double figures for the season. This was Carrigtwohill’s most comprehensive win of the season.
