On Sunday 6th Sept, the U10’s played their first Schoolboys League game. This is the first year that u10s have come under the Schoolboys League system.
Even though it was an early start, our u10s and their parents travelled in great numbers and enjoyed a brilliant experience on a sunny autumn morning.
We played 2 no. 7 v 7 games against Strand United, in accordance with the FAI Player Development Plan guidelines. While this was the first experience of league action for the u10 squad, they all preformed brilliantly and two close and exciting games were played out.
All went home in high spirits and really enjoyed the experience, as well as the friendly and sporting nature of the games. Special thanks to our hosts, Strand United.
