League v Leeds A in Ballyadam Park on Tuesday 2nd September 2014
Carrigtwohill United 7 Leeds A 1
Carrigtwohill Scores: Tommy Jenkinson Butler 4, David Ryan 2, David Rooney.

Another solid performance from CUFC U15s as they continued their good start to the season against Leeds A. A lovely through ball from Alan Warren into Tommy Jenkinson Butler started off the scoring for Carrig and this was to be a theme for the first half. Tommy soon added a second again from a lovely ball from the left full. They nearly made it 3 but the Leeds keeper made a great save again from Butler and Leeds broke quickly and reduced the deficit to 1. Up steps Butler again however and Carrig soon were two ahead. Carrig were forced into a change when Aaron Hutchinson had to be replaced by David Rooney. Hutchinson and Hugh O Neill had formed a solid partnership at the back but Emmanueal Abedoken slotted in as Rooney went to right back. It wasn’t long before Rooney announced himself onto the field when he made it 4-1 with a 25 yard shot that lobbed the keeper.

Carrig continued to boss the game and through good organisation at the back, lovely retention of possession and some nice play up front continued where they left off adding another 3 goals after the break. David Ryan continued his goal scoring form from the first day with another nice finish from outside the box and one from a little closer after Richard Sivola weaved through the Leeds defense. Billy Scully was very unlucky not to score, the post and a great save from the Leeds keeper stopping him from opening his account. In the end the 7th goal came from Tommy Jenkinson Butler (he assures me he got a touch on it) as a scramble on the goal line rounded off another great result that sees Carrig sit proudly at the top of the League table.
