League v Crosshaven in Crosshaven on Monday 4th June 2018
On Bank Holiday Monday, our U9s traveled to Crosshaven to play their last SBL games for the 2017-18 season. On what was a beautiful sunny evening in a fabulous coastal setting, there was a brilliant atmosphere to the games – a great way to finish out the 2017-18 season.
In the spirit of the FAI Player Development plan, the u9s played out 2 no. 25 min small sided games. While the games were non-competitive, both teams showed a very energetic determination in what turned out to be very keenly contested games.
There was some brilliant individual and team effort on show, as well as loads of brilliant skills, goals and goalkeeping. It was a pleasure to see all the beaming faces after a very even contest.
A big thanks to our hosts for the evening – Crosshaven FC, who’s like minded approach to the games made the occasion. And what a location for a match on a sunny day!!
Well done u9s. You have all worked hard throughout the season and everyone agrees that every member of the squad has improved and developed ass a player this year. Keep up the good work and keep practicing during the summer – role on 2018-19 season!!
