League Cup v Glounthaune in Ballyadam Park on Friday 4th September 2015
Carrigtwohill United 3 Glounthaune 1
Scores – Billy Manning 3.

Another convincing win for Carrigtwohill U17s over Glounthaune in the Gus Walsh Cup on Friday evening. Carrig looked comfortable from the kickoff and played some great football in Glounthaune’s half. The home defence were hardly tested and confidently dealt with anything that came their way. While Carrig had all the play it took them 35 minutes to score against a stubborn Glounthaune defence. Philip Dorgan crossed to Billy Manning who scored with a diving header and it stayed 1-0 to Carrig until the break.

Carrig were quick out of the blocks in the second half and scored their second goal after 5 minutes when Dorgan again put Manning through and he gave the keeper no chance with a cool finish to the corner of the net. Carrig continued to dominated the game and were rewarded when Billy Manning capped a fine performance with his hatrick with 15 minutes remaing. Glounthaune never gave up and scored a consolation goal just before the ref blew for full time. 3-1 to Carrigtwohill.

Ballyseedy Home & Gardens Player of the Match : Billy Manning.
