Carrig’s first league game ended all square, all the goals came in the first half. Carrig took a lead through Zack’s powerful header after a great cross from Jack Horgan in the first minute.
The lead didn’t last long as Carrigaline equalised after 4mins from a decent corner. Carrig restored the lead with a bit of luck after shot from Jack Horgan went in off a defenders head. Carrig couldn’t hold onto the lead as Carrigaline equalised from a direct freekick in which Darragh in goal will feel he should have dealt with. A fair reflection of the game at half time.
The second half belonged to Carrig as we dominated territory and chances. But for all the pressure and scoring opportunities, the winner did not come. The game ended all square and Carrig will feel like it was a dropped 2 points.
