League v Passage in Rockenham Park on Saturday 3rd December 2016.
Passage 0 Carrigtwohill United 0

Carrig travelled to Passage looking to kick start their league campain and went about it from the off with every ball being contested for in what would turn out to be a very physical game. We started to create chances with Cormac Flynn and David Rooney both having efforts on goal. After dominating the first 20 minutes we had the ball in the net through Rooney but it was called off side. For the rest of the half, the Carrig defence didn’t give the Passage attack a chance at goal being well marshalled by Conor Lee.

The second half started with Carrig pressing for that crucial goal. With both Oskar and Ethan testing the keeper. Passage started to get a foothold and created a few chances of their own but Darragh made two excellent saves to keep them at bay. Carrig had three more clear cut chances that we couldn’t take and ultimatly should have taken three points home instead of one!! A very good performance from the team that will give us confidence going forward and into our next game at home to Park Utd!

Player of the Match – David Rooney
