League v Corinthian Boys A in Ballyadam Park on Sunday 31st January 2016
Carrigtwohill United 5 Corinthian Boys A 0
Scorers –
Mark Daly 3, Shane O’Hanlon, David Ryan.

Carrig played their first game in over 6 weeks Sunday last and from the very start you could see the lads were up for revenge against Corinthians, a team who nicked a last minute draw off us the first game of the season. Trying a new formation, with two holding, Carrig were dominating possession and the back four were solid whenever tested. After 20 minutes Mark Daly got his first after a lovely through ball from Shane O’Hanlon, the pair would combine again for a near identical goal 7 minutes later and Carrig lead 2-0 at half time.

The second half started and Corinthians showed signs of a comeback but again the back four of Jack, Hutch, Hugh and Emmanuel showed aggression in the tackle and a desire to win the ball back. Tristan Horgan and Alan Warren were causing Corinthians a lot of trouble on the wing and a free kick from Warren, onto the head of Shane O’Hanlon all but sealed the three points, 3-0. Mark Daly stepped up to net his hat trick from the penalty spot after Tommy had been taken down and Shane Waters and David Ryan combined for the fifth, a wonder strike from Ryan from all of 40 yards out, certain to be goal of the season. Three points well deserved, excellent team performance.
