League v Corinthian Boys B in Castletreasure on Saturday 11th October 2014
College Corinthians 1 Carrigtwohill United 3
Scorers: Darragh McCann & Brendan Twomey
Carrigtwohill U16’s stay top of the table after another good win away to Corinthian Boys on Saturday morning. The early start didn’t seem to suit either team with both sides getting off to a slow start. Corinthians were first off the mark scoring from a free after 15 minutes. From the kick off Carrig started to pass the ball better and had the home side pegged back in their own half while they went in search of an equaliser. Carrig were level 5 minutes before the break when Darragh McCann scored from the penalty spot. Carrig had Corinthians under further pressure in the second half but wasted too many chances in front of goal however the momentum was with the visitors and the winner 1eventually came in the 70th minute. A great pass from Kevin Coady put Brendan Twomey through on goal and he rounded the keeper to score his sides second goal. This was another good win for Carrig away from home .
