A super performance by the lads today in their third top of the table clash in a row. Carrig went ahead after Conor Lee scored from all of 45yards after 6 mins. A great start was bettered on 12 mins when David Rooney powered home a Jack Horgan corner. Carrig were dominant as the midfield trio of David Rooney, John Carroll & Niall Hannigan were dictating the game and didn’t give an inch to the opposition. Scoreline stayed at 2 nil at the break.
The second half was more of the same as Carrig extended their lead 14mins into second half when John Carroll poked home a scramble from Cormac Flynn’s corner. Cormac added a fourth himself after his shot from the edge of the box took a slight deflection to help his strike beat the keeper. Carrig went on to comfortably see out the game, in thanks to man of the match Conor Lee and his ability to manage the back line and cover any danger with real class throughout the game. A great team performance from the lads to extend their lead at the top of the table.
