League v Passage in Ballyadam Park on Thursday 17th March 2016
Carrigtwohill United 1 Passage 1
Scorer –
Zack Casagranda

Carrig hosted Passage in the league, both teams are in the running for the league and the game showed it. First half was played at a great pace with both teams going for it. Carrig opened the scoring from Zack Casagranda after a great through ball was lifted expertly over the keeper. Carrig had the better chances in the half but could not add to the scoreline, and they were robbed of a penalty after a mistake by the referee after awarding a freekick on edge of box even though the foul was easily 2 yards inside the box.

Second half belonged to Passage and they had Carrig pinned back but Carrig’s Conor Lee was controlling his defence well and was keeping Passage at bay. Eventually Carrig’s resistance broke after a great individual goal by the Passage winger. With 10 mins remaining Carrig tried to push for a winner but in doing so we’re leaving gaps which Passage should have punished but didn’t and the game ended level. A good point for Carrig considering how the game ended.

Player of the Match – Zack Casagranda.
