Carrigtwohill progressed to the last 16 of the Neil Welch Cup after an emphatic win over Corinthians B. Carrig bossed this game from start to finish and even though we led by only 1 goal to nil at the break it should have been more.
The second half saw the goals flow as Carrig added 7 in that period. Overall an excellent team performance with goals coming from man of the match Zack Casagranda with a hat trick, skipper James Mulcahy added another 2 and the other goals coming from Jack Horgan, Niall Hannigan & Emmanual The bonus for Carrig was the clean sheet which was well deserved by the very hard working Carrig defence who gave stand in keeper Darren Flynn a very easy game.
Special mention for the central midfield duo of Cormac Flynn and David Rooney who dominated the midfield battle and were the root of all our good attacking play with their very tidy football.
