Carrigaline Hibs – 6
Carrigtwohill United – 3

20th Oct 2019 at Ballea Park

On a fresh Sunday morning, Carrigtwohill United made the trip to Carrigaline to play Hibs on the excellent Ballea all weather pitch. After winning our last two league games, Carrigtwohill started the game on fire and were 2 goals up after 4 minutes when Phillip first found the net with a lovely finish and then Rollie doubled the lead by rounding the goalie and scoring to put the visitors in a great position.

Carrigaline started to come nto the game and got two quick goals to level up the game inside the first 15 minutes. Carrigtwohill had a couple of great chances to retake the lead but couldn’t find the finish to match the great build up play.

Hibs made them pay in no uncertain terms with 2 goals before half time to leave the score at 4-2 at the break.

The second half was a lot more even game with chances at both ends but it was Hibs, who were more clinical on the day to take a 6-2 lead before Carrigtwohill had the last say when Rollie got a deserved consolation.

Player of the game goes to Corey who stood tall to repel numerous attacks and helped his fellow defenders all day. Special mention for Fillip in goals who could do nothing about any of the goals but still lead the team brilliantly on a tough day.
