League v Strand United in Ballyadam Park on Sunday 4th September 2016
On a fresh Autumn Sunday afternoon, the u11’s played their second league game of the season (and first home game) v Strand Utd. Strand Utd traveled with strong numbers & 2 no. 7v7 SSGs, in accordance with the FAI Player Development ethos, were played out over 3 no. 15 min segments.
The supporters present saw two tight games played and while our visitors came out on top, our lads pushed hard and grew stronger and more confident in each game, showing great skill, commitment and scoring ability.
The SSGs system is really helping our u11s to develop their general game play and positioning awareness. Our lads are working hard to improve their overall footballing abilities and this is starting to show on match day. Well done lads.
