Challenge v Corkbeg in Carrigtwohill All weather pitch on Sunday 21st January 2018
Our u9s played another blitz of games with Corkbeg today at the All Weather pitches in Carrigtwohill. Even though the morning was overcast and threatening rain, we had a great turnout and we even avoided getting wet!!
The u9s played 3 simultaneous small sided games v Corkbeg, with each team playing 3 games in total, all in very good sporting spirits. It is brilliant to see the growth of these enthusiastic players, who are developing a very good sense of team play and positioning.
It was also great to see all the skills and general play that have been worked on in training, being effectively used in the games today. The guys have really come on in leaps and bounds with their passing, control and general soccer skills – with plenty of “roll backs”, “step overs”, etc on view today.
