Scorers – Billy Manning 2, Brendan Twomey 2, Evan Twomey 2.

We had another local darby on Sunday away to Glounthaune . This was our third meeting in a few weeks and with two wins recorded we were expected to do well again. We started confidently and had Glounthaune chasing the ball very early in the game . We scored our first goal after 20 minutes when Philip Dorgan played a neat pass to Brendan Twomey to make it 1-0 . Then 5 minutes later Brendan hit the bar and Evan Foley was first to react with a well placed shot to the corner of the net. On 35 minutes David Grimes put a great ball through the middle for Billy Manning to make it 3-0 in our favour. With half time approaching Evan Foley got his second goal of the game to make it 4-0 at the break.

Again we got a great start to the second half when Foley turned provider and put Billy through for our fifth goal . We were 6-0 up after a great break down the left wing by Twomey he cut inside the defender and gave the keeper no chance from the edge of the box. We were 6 goals up and cruising but we switched off and let Glounthaune back into the game. During a crazy 20 minute spell the home side scored 4 goals to it 6-4 with 10 minutes remaining. Another win away from home keeps us top of the table.
