Why Support Us ?

Carrigtwohill United have been based in Ballyadam since 2005 and have seen steady growth in members since then. Today we have over 550 players and 100 coaches who all strive to provide an outlet for local people of all ages to play football. We have 25 teams in total with 7 of those catering for over 150 female players and an underage academy catering from 6yrs old and up.

We currently only have grass pitches which are not suitable for use during the winter months and there is a deficit of facilities locally which means we are unable to properly train and play our matches if the weather is wet

We need our own all-weather Astro turf pitch – a facility that will allow us train and play all year round and that will be an asset to our community, also suitable for Gaelic football, Camoige, rugby and other field sports.

OUR GOAL

Is to construct a full sized Astro pitch to the highest UEFA standard including lighting and fencing suitable for use all year round.

This project is Phase 1 of a multi-year plan to fully develop our grounds at Ballyadam including new sand based grass pitches, dressings rooms and club house.

HOW DO WE ACHIEVE THIS …

This is an expensive project with a cost of € 750,000 but we have been busy working towards this goal.

We we awarded a Sport Capital Grant (€ 141,000) and EirGrid community Fund (€ 30,000) and hope that further grants, along with existing club funds and significant borrowings will come to a total of € 600,000 leaving us a shortfall of € 150,000

We are asking everyone both within our club and the wider Carrigtwohill community to support this fundraising effort and help us make this new Astro pitch a reality for this and future generations !
