Carrig B continued there good start to the season with another home victory at home to Knocknaheeny on Sunday Morning. The home team started the slower of the 2 teams with Knocka pressing from the front and putting the Carrig defenders under pressure. After 8 minutes Knocknaheeny took the lead, a great run by their midfielder through the midfield and into the box and a lovely finish into the corner of the net. This is what Carrig needed to kick them into action and they equalised half way through the first half. Some beautiful work out the left between Kalem Deady and David ‘badge’ williams, badge whipped a low cross in and the cross was driven home by Kevin O’Riordan. 1 min later ‘badge’ again with great work down the left, he was taken down and the penalty awarded and dispatched by Tom O’Brien. Carrig increased there lead before half time again ‘badge’ the provider with a free kick from the right headed home by Shane Kennedy. 3-1 to Carrig at half time.

Carrig dominated the 2nd half and had many chances to score more goals, the fourth came from a short corner routine between badge and David Barry with Barry chipping the ball home from a tight angle. John wade hit the bar with a header and David Barry also hitting the post but the game finished 4 1 to the home side. Best on the day was David Barry and Man of the match David ‘Badge’ Williams with 4 assists.
