Under-10
10th May at Turners Cross
Cork City v UCD
On Friday evening 10th May, the Carrigtwohill Under-10’s enjoyed a brilliant night out at Turners Cross for the Cork City v UCD league game. The gang were in full voice with the rest of the “Rebel Army”, shouting on city.
Earlier in the evening, the squad went to their favourite Carrigtwohill restaurant, Thairish, and noshed down a delicious dinner. Big thanks to the staff of Thairish for their hospitality. They travelled by luxury coach to the game in great spirits – a special shout out to our friendly bus driver Jacek.
With lots of flags (thanks to Pat & the crew at Turners Cross) and plenty of goodies, the Carrigtwohill gang enjoyed a cracking match, with City winning 2-0 and goals from firm favourites Karl Sheppard & Graham Cummins. There was even some good pre-match banter with a special fourth official on the night!
On the return coach journey back to Carrigtwohill, the lads enjoyed more craic and a sing song.
Plenty of sleepy heads heading home, but happy contented ones! A brilliant end of season bonding session for the entire squad, players and coaches alike.
