League v Carrigaline United B in Carrigaline on Sunday 15th October 2017
Carrigaline United B 2 Carrigtwohill United 5
Scorers: James Mulcahy 3, Zack Casagranda, Ben Malito

A superb performance from the lads to come away with 3points and a comfortable win against Carrigaline.

Carrig’s work rate was top notch all over the pitch, they never game their hosts any time on the ball from start to finish, which frustrated Carrigaline. Carrig started with Ethan Daly Harkin as our stand in keeper and he didn’t disappoint with a fine game and a couple of decent saves too. The Carrig back 4 were excellent, very well organised with all 4 starters playing well. Carrig were 2 goals up at the break from James Mulcahy and Zack Casagranda.

The centre midfield pairing of Cormac and Rooney were excellent, with Cormac yet again putting in a near flawless performance to rightly be named man of the match. Carrig were 3 up soon after the break with James Mulcahy’s 2nd. Carrigaline pulled one back after some questionable defending from a corner, but Carrig responded immediately as Mul completed his hat trick after some neat play.

Substitute Ben Malito got Carrig’s fifth with possibly his first touch of the ball, showing a real strikers instinct when finishing. Carrigaline got a late consolation but Carrig had game wrapped up as worthy winners.
