League v Corinthian Boys A in Ballyadam Park on Sunday 26th October 2014
Carrigtwohill United 2 Corinthian Boys A 1
Scorers: Rutendo Katsamandenga, Tommy Jenkinson Butler
Carrig welcomed the unbeaten Corinthians to Ballyadam on a wet and windy Sunday morning looking to consolidate their position at the top of the table. In a scrappy first half Carrig were lucky on a couple of occasions as Corinthians should probably have taken the lead. Carrig came into the game though and with some slick passing had a few chances of there own. Five minutes before half time Jason Collins got down the right and squared for Rutendo who slotted the ball nicely into the corner. 1-0 Carrig HT.
The second half Carrig played against the wind, this proved to be a hindrance to defend against but meant we played a lot more football. Corinthians got back in the game with a well worked move again from the right. 1-1. Playing the better football but with time against us it looked like it was going to be a point each however with only a minute to go Tommy Jenkinson Butler latched onto a through ball and lobbed the on rushing keeper to take all three points for the home side much to the delight of everyone in attendance. A hard working performance that desserved all three points.
Ballyseedy Home & Gardens Man of the Match: Jason Collins.
