Under-13A CSL Div 8 at Ballyadam

A bright sun saw Carrigtwohill begin the game with lots of possession and Corinthians putting pressure on from the start when turning over their attacking play. The away side were rewarded with a good goal after some fine saves by Carrigtwohill keeper Noel O Donovan.
Then, a great team goal linking defence and attack was finished off by Tunde Kareem but ruled offside.
Going in 1 nil down at half time, the Carrigtwohill players knew that they had more of the clear chances and just needed to keep their efforts up.
In the second half, the rhythm started to flow. Goals from Tunde Kareem, Liam Prendergast, Evan Foley, Jerry O Donovan and Ben Kelly were well worked and more than deserved.
Gary Og Horgan was at the heart of 4 Carrig goals creating, assisting and driving the team forward. A very worthy Man of the Match performance by him.
Corinthians scored two more goals but the United defence was rock solid for the final 10 minutes.
It is 2 wins and a draw now for the unbeaten Under-13A’s – A superb start to the season by this squad.
