Under-13A League at Ballea Park

Carrigtwohill United – 2
Carrigtwohill United A travelled to Ballea Park to face Carrigaline United A for a top of the table clash. Both teams had a lot to play for as 3 points for Carrigaline would ensure the would be league champions and Carrigtwohill were pushing for promotion.
A fast paced first half flew by with both sets of players showing how important this game was, fighting for every ball with passion and determination. With chances at both ends and some lovely passing football the first half finished 0-0.
Second half started well with Eoin Garvey hitting the post with a great strike on 32 minutes. However, it was Carrigaline that went ahead on 35th minutes and increased their lead 2-0 on the 38th minute.
Carrigtwohill kept plugging away and were rewarded with a goal finished by Adam McCarthy from a lovely through ball. Carrigaline made it 3-1 on the 46th minute. Martin Lehane scored a fabulous free kick from the edge of the box to get Carrigtwohill back in the game 3-2.
But it was not to be as Carrigaline scored a free kick to finish the season as deserved unbeaten champions.
