Carrigtwohill United – 3
Douglas Hall – 1
Carrigtwohill United A were away to Douglas Hall on Sunday morning.
In what turned out to be a scrappy affair it shows how much this team has grown to be coming away with a 3-1 victory but feeling a bit disappointed in the performance. The goals came from Luke Brennan (x2) who was a threat throughout and the ever lively Paul o Neill. It was great to see Patrick Ahern put in a really solid display on his debut playing in both defence and midfield.
The times we did put our foot on the ball through Zach and Kevin spreading the play to Ryan, Eoghan we looked really dangerous with just the final pass leaving us down at times to the ever willing running of Eoin and Paulie. In defence Max’s handling was very secure and we were solid and composed for the majority of the game through Roger, Jamie, Callan, Killian and Alex and when called upon they put there bodies on the line( one moment in particular when Jamie( who had a great game) put in a bone crunching tackle just inside our box when we looked certain to concede. A good away 3 points and we march on to our next game.
