Carrigtwohill United – 7
Midleton FC – 0
On Sunday morning we welcomed Midelton to Ballyadam for what was a local Derby in the schoolboys Leauge.
The first half started at a frantic pace and within 25 seconds Miloz Giec found himself in plenty of space and raced towards the midelton goal and found himself within shooting range and he then drilled the ball into the corner of the net to open the scoring.
This quick goal only inspired the lads to push on and look for a second goal and we didn’t have to wait to long for it to materialise, on the 15th min and with some superb defending and patient play Miloz once again found himself in space just inside the midelton half and without hesitation he spotted the keeper off his line and took a wonderful strike and he lobbed the keeper from 30 yards to make it 2-0
Shortly after Carrigtwohill got a corner in the 22nd min and Paul O Neill whipped in a sublime cross and it took a slight deflection from a midelton defender to make it 3-0.
Midelton to their credit never gave up and continued to play some good football but our defence were outstanding in there duties.
Oisin Casey at right back was in top form as was Zac o Sullivan,Matthew Board and Charlie McCann
Alex Doyle was the rock just in front of the back four and dictated most of the play.
Carrigtwohill were playing really brilliant football and in the 31 min Miloz was in possession just inside the midelton half, then Killian O Halloran made a fantastic run on the outside which was well spotted by Miloz who then put through a wonderful ball for Killian to run onto,he continued his run towards goal and drilled the ball into the bottom corner from outside the box to make it 4-0
Just before half time the ball was crossed into a crowded box and without hesitation Oskar Luszczek set himself up for an overhead kick and he executed it perfectly and the net rattled again to make it 5-0
As the 2nd half started the lads were hungry for more goals and they didn’t have to wait to long as Cian McCann lost his marker in the box to which he recieved a lovely pass, took it under control in one touch and finished it with his second touch to increase the lead to 6-0
Miloz Giec rounded off a great team performance by getting his hat trick in the 48th min with a truly fantastic solo run, beating 3 midelton players and side footed into the net
Overall it was a fantastic team display by Carrigtwohill who are improving each time they step onto the pitch.
