League v Crosshaven in Ballyadam Park on Monday 28th March 2016
Carrigtwohill United 4 Crosshaven 1
Scorers –
Zack Casagranda 2, Niall Hannigan, David Rooney.

Carrig bounced back very well from last weeks defeat with a convincing 4-1 win against Crosshaven. Carrig changed formation with the main move in bringing Conor Lee into a more advanced role. It was Conor who was causing all the problems for Crosshaven with his through balls for Zack and James. Carrig took the lead after 13minutes when Zack Casagranda forced the ball home from a corner. The second came 10mins later after a pass from Conor put Zack through one on one and he made no mistake in doubling the lead. Carrig could have had more as James Mulcahy was causing Crosshaven all sorts of problems but the skipper couldn’t add to the scoreline. Crosshaven pulled one back on 30mins from a corner.

Second half was more of the same as Carrig continued to cause problems for Crosshaven, and it wasn’t long before Carrig got a third after Niall Hannigan tapped in from a rebound of the post. The final goal came from great work by Conor and Zack to cross a great ball to the on rushing David Rooney and the midfielder gave the keeper no chance with his powerful header. There were no more goals but Carrig can be pleased with a great team performance and s man of the match display from Conor Lee.

Player of the Match – Conor Lee.
