League Cup v Evergreen in Deerpark on Friday 28th August 2015
Evergreen 2  Carrigtwohill United 6
Scores – Evan Foley 2,  Brendan Twomey 2,  Philip Dorgan, Billy Manning.

Carrigtwohill traveled to Deer park on Friday evening for their second match in Group G of the Gus Walsh Cup. Carrig were impressive from the start of the game and should have scored 2 or 3 goals in the opening 10 minutes. It was the 15th minute before they opened their account when Brendan Twomey passed to Evan Foley in the box to score their first goal. Carrig scored their second goal after a neat 1 – 2 between Foley and Twomey on the edge of the box put Twomey through and he gave the keeper no chance . Carrig went 3 goals up when Evergreens keeper fumbled the ball from Liam McCarthy’s cross and Foley was quickest to react scoring his second goal of the night. Against the run of play Evergreen scored to make it 3-1 at the break.

Evergreen scored an early goal in the second half to make it 3-2 after a mix up in Carrig’s defence. Despite dominating play Carrig had to wait until the seventy fifth minute to make the game safe with their 4th goal when Philip Dorgan scored after a good pass from Twomey. Number 5 was scored by Billy Manning from a penalty after Jamie Daly was fouled in the box and Brendan Twomey made it 6-2 just before the end of the game with a well placed header from McCanns corner.

Ballyseedy Home & Gardens Player of the Match : Evan Foley.
