This was our first league match of season. We started strongly and played good possession football all over pitch. A lot of Carrigtwohill pressure on 15 mins resulted in a free from just outside the box. We were delighted when our training at free kicks worked out with a great goal from Kevin Coady. Much of the half had us on top but the score somehow stayed at 1 nil up to the break.
The second half started in much the same pattern as the first. A meandering solo run from Brendan Twomey was rewarded with a great goal after 10 mins. The game was continuing to go in Carrigtwohills favour untill 20 mins to go when Watergrasshill got a goal against the run of play. This spurred them on and they had us having to defend for the rest of game but credit to us we held out for well deserved win on day and we are looking forward to our next game.
