We hit the opposition with 2 quick goals from Niall within 3 minutes, the second a beauty into the bottom corner from distance. With midfield on top, Niall sent in a cross which Alfred dispatched to the net after 10min. David scored after 15 min to make it 4 nil with a great burst from midfield, before his partner Calvin scored another 5 minutes later. Our defence was coping well, with Captain Cian, Kuba, Ronan and Eloghosa giving nothing away. Anything that got past them was dealt with very well by Victor in goals. Confidence was now high, with Daniel and Noel providing good penetration down the flanks. We look dangerous when we attacked and John saw a header flash just wide from a corner kick. David scored his second of the game just before half time to make it 6-0.
The second half saw some changes with Eloghosa taking over in goals and Victor coming out the field. Joseph was working hard in midfield. Churchvilla to their credit never let their heads drop and created a few chances in the second half. Noel scored our 7th goal (striking in off the post) and John followed up soon after to finish from a tight angle after good work by Niall. David round off the scoring to complete his hat rick close to the end. Outside of the score line, the boys played some great football, with passing and movement. There was also great play in pressuring and covering which we have been working on in training. Keep up the work in training boys, well done.
