League v Mallow Town A in St Patrick’s NS on Thursday 3rd May 2018
Mallow Town A 2 Carrigtwohill United 2
Scores: Tadhg O’Connor 2

In our latest league game we traveled away to play Mallow Town A on a Thursday night. After an even start to the game we fell behind to a sloppy goal 10 mins into the game. In fairness to the lads they settled into the game to gain a deserved equaliser, when following some great football out from the back winger Cian Lee put a great ball into the box for Tadgh O’Connor to finish. 1 all. Well on top now we pushed forward and got a 2nd goal when this time a cross from the left by Mark McCarthy, after a great driving run from midfield, was again finished expertly to the net by Tadgh for his 2nd of the night. Half time we led 2-1.

The 2nd half was a very evenly contested game with chances both ends and some good football from both sides trying to get the next goal. Unfortunately for us it was Mallow who scored when a breaking ball was finished well to the net. Try as hard we could the lads couldn’t find a winner on the night. A fair result in the end of a well contested game. We go again on Sunday.

Player of match: Tadgh O’Connor. For his expertly taken goals a well deserved award in the night.
