A very disappointing result today when too many players just did not turn up to be honest. A well organised Kanturk side took the lead with a soft goal. Unfortunately some of the Carrig lads dropped their heads and we conceded a 2nd just before the half time whistle to leave the half time score 0-2.
A better start to the 2nd half saw Carrig on top but then some sloppy play left Kanturk in for s third goal. A great move the length of the pitch involving 4 players resulted in Charlie McCarthy crossing to the far post for Cian Lee to smash the ball to the net. Unfortunately this was the high point of a very disappointing overall performance. We have to show better commitment if we are going to get to winning ways. A special mention for goalkeeper Fillip for keeping the score down with some great saves.
