Under-11

Carrigtwohill United

V Glounthaune United

8th Feb 2020 at All-weather pitch

Carrigtwohill United Under-11’s made good use of the mid-season break from league games, by playing a series of friendlies over the last few weeks – 2 rounds of friendly games against Lakewood on 18th Jan & 8th Feb and another against Glounthaune on 25th Jan.

With pitches suffering due to the difficult weather conditions over the last few weeks, it was brilliant to have the excellent All-Weather Facilities in Carrigtwohill available for these games.

The games presented different challenges to the Under-11’s, with everyone in the squad getting an opportunity to take part in the friendlies. The games presented a great opportunity for our players to advance the skills they have been working on in training. At the same time, the coaches were able to use these games as a good learning exercise for the upcoming league & cup games. It is important that players continue to attend training and practice their skill, in order to be prepared for matches.

All players showed great skill, effort, attitude and resolve in the many games played over the last few weeks. Even when some games were going against them, they showed brilliant attitude to keep going and do themselves proud. The development of each of the players is clear to see, and their commitment to training is paying off.

Well done gang. Keep up the good work.
