League v Glen Celtic in Ballyadam Park on Sunday 30th October 2016.
Carrigtwohill United 4 Glen Celtic 4
Scorers –
Garry O’Riordan, Brendan Horgan 2, Jamie Long.

Carrigtwohill collected a valuable point at home on Sunday morning at the death when it look like they had gifted Glen all 3. A very under-strength Carrigtwohill were 1 down inside 10 mins when poor defending allowed Glen to score from a corner. This spurred the lads on and were to score 3  goals before the break. A delightful turn and spin from Brendan saw him 1 on 1 with the Glen keeper who bundled him to the deck. Gary O’Riordan dispatched the spot kick. Brendan Horgan then himself lobbed the keeper to make it 2. Another fine move from Carrig had Giddy bearing down on goal but his saved effort was dispatched to the back of the net by Horgan. The award of a dubious penalty to the Glen just before the break gave  the glen a glimmer of hope.

The second half saw a rejuvenated Glen Score twice but Carrig should have had the points wrapped up before this life line to the north-siders. Both Glen goals from free kicks. However Carrig to their credit did not throw in the towel and with seconds on the clock Jamie Long tucked home another parried save from Giddy to share the spoils. A similar second half to that at Blarney Street a couple of weeks ago but a much better response on this occasion.
