Under-13 Reports 2012/13
League v Riverstown in Eastcliffe, on Sunday 17th March 2013
Riverstown 0 Carrigtwohill United 3
A super polished performance for Carrig saw them dent Riverstowns title hopes in Edgecliffe this morning. Despite playing against the wind in the first half, Carrigtwohill bossed this contest from start to finish. For all their possession they were unable to find the target in the first half.
Shane o Hanlon's introduction at half time brought just reward, after some good possession he latched onto a ball over the top calmly side footing the ball low to the keepers left. His second was as calmy slotted home after some super work and a stunning cross from Hugh O Neill. Alan Warren got Carrigtwohill's 3rd, when he volleyed home from a corner. Carrig where impressive all over the pitch, but David Rooney showed class and guile in the centre of park and for that performance rightly is Ballyseedy man of the match.

League v Mallow United A in Ballyadam Park, on Sunday 3rd March 2013
Carrigtwohill United 1 Mallow United A 1
Despite Carrigtwohill scoring in the first minute they ever turned up for this contest against a higher placed Mallow. Alan Warren corner was met by Rutendo who stabbed the ball into the net. Mallow had only one chance in the first half when they hit the crossbar. Having not played well and leading at half time you would imagine they would punish a weak Mallow side after that. However Carrigtwohill had very little chances but should have doubled the lead when Shane O'Hanlon found himself one on one with the keeper but saw his effort rebound from the base of the post. Mallow equalised with 10 to go. A parried save was stabbed home for close range.

League v Glounthane in Glenmore Park, on Sunday 17th February 2013
Glounthane 1 Carrigtwohill United 2
Carrigtwohill u 13 got back to winning ways with a hard earned 2-1 victory away to Glounthane. Defending very well and playing against a gale force wind in the first half Carrig found themselves 1 down when Glounthane scored direct from a corner. Playing some lovely football Carrig were first to every ball and forced the game to their opponents. Carrig got the brake that they deserved when Arron Hutchinson rifled a shot from the halfway line bouncing in front of the goalkeeper and bounced over his head. Some good football involving Kudsai Mhondiaw Jack Scully and Jason Collins finished with Collins firing an unstoppable effort to the back of the net. Carrig were good value for the win with some sterling performances from Kudsai, Collins and Shane O'Hanlon
Ballyseedy Man of the Match - Jason Collins
Local Cup v Watergrasshill United in Skehanagh Park, on Sunday 3rd February 2013
Watergrasshill United 3 Carrigtwohill United 1
A very rusty Carrigtwohill never got going in this cup match. A few people got a chance and that and not plying for nearly 10 weeks showed as Watergrasshill will never score 3 easier goals. Their first in the first 2 mins a run from the left a low effort hit the net. Another basic error as a corner taker scored directly from a corner. Jason Collins fought hard on the left of the hill box before steadying himself and striking an unstoppable effort to the far corner of the net. On the stroke of half time Watergrasshill were gifted a free and a deflection in the wall wrong footed Shane O Hanlon in goal. Numerous chances were squandered by both sides in the second half but Kudsai Mohandiow made some good stops in the carrig goal.

League v St Mary's in Ballyadam Park on Sunday 9th December 2012
Carrigtwohill United 0 St Mary's 3
A lack lustre performance from Carrig here. Despite having 3 glorious chances we were unable to take any, Mary's on the other hand were clinical in front of goal. David Rooney played very well in mid field, but Arron Hutchenson was super and gets the nod for man of the match.
Ballyseedy Man of the Match - Aaron Hutchenson
